For Abu Dhabi's Application to host the FIFA Club World Cup in 2009 / 2010, AS+P was in charge of the technical and functional planning for the football venues according to the FIFA regulations and standards.

The two venues envisaged to host the tournament, Zayed Sports City Stadium and Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, are conveniently located in the city centre of Abu Dhabi. Currently neither of the stadia sufficiently meet the venue requirements asked for by the FIFA.
