Marschweg Stadium in Oldenburg no longer meets German Football Association (DFB) standards as regards security facilities and the infrastructure situation. As a result, the City of Oldenburg intends to build a replacement. To this end, on behalf of the city AS+P identified potentially suitable locations within the Oldenburg city limits. With a view to clarifying the location still further, the City of Oldenburg now intends to subject the Maastrichter Strasse option to more detailed examination.

Drawing on the fundamentals compiled in 2014, which reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the Maastrichter Strasse option, AS+P produced schematic outlines of the functional design. This served as the basis on which the client’s decision-makers could then assess the prospects for realization and the risks in the event of the further development of the site. The preparation of an sample project with estimations of the duration of the individual construction phases and important milestones, as well as a project-specific evaluation of the legal aspects to the planning at the Maastrichter Strasse site rounded out the services AS+P delivered for the project.
