Wolfgang Industrial Park in Hanau is an important EVONIK Industries research and development center. Thanks to the park's prime location in the Rhine-Main region and its strong transportation links, the approx. 80-hectare site is admirably suited for production facilities. However, changing operational requirements, aging buildings, and business administration and workflow issues all call for internal restructuring of the facilities. In addition to these "internal" factors there are also "external" aspects that impact on the surroundings, for example noise and emission levels and these must likewise be taken into account in all deliberations.
On behalf of IPW GmbH, AS+P is compiling an "Urban Master Plan 2020/2030", which by means of integrative planning a medium to long-term, viable future concept for the site will be devised and discussed with the relevant decision-makers. In addition to defining the future allocation of facilities across different uses and the corresponding structure of the buildings, proposals will be made with regard to traffic flow and stationary traffic and to the overall structure of green and open spaces throughout the site.
