Trainees' Center for the FC Bayern Munich
Munich, Germany, 2014
- Client: FC Bayern München e.V.
- Timeframe: 2014
In the north of Munich, in view of Allianz Arena, FC Bayern München has acquired a sub-area of Fürst-Wrede-Kaserne, on which to develop an additional club site. To facilitate the fundamental realisation of a club site, a development planning process for this was already completed in 2013. New planning objectives aim at the construction of a youth training centre with accommodation, training and match operation facilities on the site for the junior team of FC Bayern München.
AS+P was commissioned to examine the feasibility of the planned project in consideration of the existing development plan. To this end, the organisational and project-related framework conditions of a youth training centre were initially identified and compiled in one spatial programme. Based on this, a structural concept was created, which reflects the operational requirements of a youth training centre (usage regulations, building and open space typology etc.). Going into greater depth, the functional design were developed for the components “clubhouse”, “academy”, “hall” and “match stands I” with various spectator capacities. The site concept formed the basis for the building design, which is likewise being created by AS+P.
