The urban development and landscape planning competition with an open space planning ideas section is intended to produce a concept for a sustainable quarter.

The residential quarter on Otto Hahn Ring totals approx. 7.2 hectares in size. The objective: to develop an attractive residential area with innovative living concepts and typologies for different lifestyles and age groups (e.g., multi-generation living). The land is to a large extent privately owned.

Anke Griesel and Annette Hahn-Schütz, urban planners at AS+P, are supervising the competition on behalf of BSC München Grundstücks GmbH & Co. KG. (represented by HIH Real Estate GmbH and RFR Development GmbH) and in coordination with the City of Munich. The first stage of the competition will see an urban development and landscape planning concept sketch (a basic solution) developed. The jury will convene in February 2020 to select the participants in the second stage of the competition.

Prior to the competition a public information event was held that offered citizens an opportunity to participate in the development of the planning area. Read more
