The In­sti­tute for Mo­bil­i­ty Re­search is a re­search fa­cil­i­ty of the BMW Group that aims to fa­cil­i­tate cross-​modal and in­ter­dis­ci­plinary re­search into mo­bil­i­ty (in the broad­est sense) with an in­ter­na­tion­al per­spec­tive. In July 2016 Michael Din­ter, who heads Traf­fic and Trans­porta­tion Plan­ning at AS+P, joined the Board of Trustees, a group of high-​rank­ing fig­ures from the BMW Group, Deutsche Bahn Group, Lufthansa Group, MAN Group, Siemens AG, World Bank Group and other aca­demics.
