“Basic version” site plan
As the existing Marschwegstadion in Oldenburg no longer meets the security technology and infrastructure standards set by the German Football Association (Deutscher Fußballbund, DFB), the City of Oldenburg is seeking to construct a new stadium. In the course of an antecedent site investigation, on behalf of the City of Oldenburg AS+P examined and defined potentially suitable location options within the city limits of Oldenburg. In the context of a further location assessment, the City of Oldenburg now intends to submit the location option Maastrichter Strasse to a more in-depth location investigation. Building on the basic principles compiled in 2014 and the related knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of the location option “Maastrichter Strasse”, AS+P has compiled a schematic functional design for the location, by way of which the realization chances and risks were assessed by the client’s decision makers as part of further location development. The elaboration of an exemplary project run with estimated project phases and scheduling of milestones, as well as a project-specific assessment of the situation concerning planning regulations at the Maastrichter Strasse location, round of the service spectrum provided by AS+P.
