Digital Campus framework plan, overall area, May 2021
As part of a realignment resulting from the digitization of the media and printing industry, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG intends to optimize the use of land at the main plant site in the municipalities of Wiesloch and Walldorf by undertaking suitable densification measures and allocating vacated areas to new commercial uses. At the same time, cycle traffic in this area is to be made more attractive with the closure of a direct gap between the Wiesloch-Walldorf train station and existing cycle routes in the south. In order to lay the legal foundations for this cross-zone planning, development plans are being drawn up in parallel in the towns of Wiesloch and Walldorf. Here, AS+P is working closely with the municipalities to prepare the documentation required under planning law for the planning area, which covers a total of approx. 47 hectares, based on a framework plan it prepared previously. In parallel to this, AS+P is also coordinating the various parties involved (representatives of the municipalities, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, specialist planners) and managing the planning procedure.
