BSC München Grundstücks GmbH & Co. KG. (represented by HIH Real Estate GmbH and RFR Development GmbH) intends to obtain building permission to establish a residential quarter with some 720 housing units on the “Northern Carpark” on the Siemens grounds in Neuperlach. Alongside apartments, the quarter will boast childcare facilities, social amenities, retail outlets and commercial premises. The current parking spaces for the Siemens grounds to the south will be relocated. Since as long ago as 2014 AS+P has been supporting BSC München Grundstücks GmbH & Co. KG. in order to lay in-depth, specialist foundations for the planning process. Together with the City of Munich, ideas for the urban development of the “Northern Carpark” were devised. To this end, more detailed trial urban planning proposals were developed that highlighted the built structures; the basis for the urban planning parameters for subsequent development were then derived from these. Parallel to this the preparatory work was done for the approvals and a municipal resolution on the basic outline: this served as the basis for the two-phase open urban planning and landscape planning competition that AS+P then organized on behalf of the client. In one of the first jury meetings after the Coronavirus lockdown the entry submitted by Prof. Biedermann Architekten in collaboration with Mathias Wolf Land­schafts­architekt won the day. A key element of the procedure entails providing information for citizens and arranging civic dialog events. Thus, to pave the way for the resolution on the basic outline, a meeting of all inhabitants was held, to be followed by further meetings. www.wohnquartier-neuperlach.de
