Köfering Local Authority in the Regensburg district: Successful conclusion of the urban land-use plan for the “Expansion of Weiherbreite”

In an extraordinary session of the local authority council shortly before the break for the Bavarian summer holidays, the change to the land-use plan devised by AS+P was approved and the zoning plan developed parallel to it was made statutory law.
With the resolutions taken in July, the Köfering Local Authority southeast of Regensburg has created the preconditions under planning law to expand the existing “Weiherbreite” housing estate by some 17 hectares and develop around 345 housing units in line with AS+P’s 2017 urban planning proposal. The plan foresees different building typologies, with a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses as well as two childcare centers. Construction is scheduled to start in Q4 2020.
