'Lyoner Carrée' selected for the Day of Architecture 2017

Lyoner Carrée
On the last weekend in June architects, interior designers, landscape architects and urban planners will be presenting an extremely varied program for the 23rd time: Residential and public buildings, schools, and museums, as well as structures that have been successfully converted and refurbished will open their doors to the public. Every year the Day of Architecture attracts over 13,000 visitors throughout the state of Hessen.
For the Day of Architecture 2017, AS+P will be presenting the recently completed 'Lyoner Carrée' project in Frankfurt’s Niederrad district: The passivhaus-standard residential development consists of three C-shaped blocks that are linked by single-story podium structures. In the interior courtyard that these create there are two stand-alone edifices with large windows and corner balconies. The buildings have 134 apartments between 60 sq.m. and 130 sq. m. in size, each arranged in sets of two or three units. Alongside residential facilities the southern building block features a 5-section nursery on the first two stories.
Guided tour: Sunday June 25, 2017, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
