AS+P Albert Speer + Partner GmbH, together with PROPROJEKT GmbH and Serviceplan Agency Group for Innovative Communication GmbH, have developed the bid documents for Qatar for their 2022 FIFA World Cup bid. Qatar's World Cup concept is presented in the over 700-page Bid Book and additional annexes which include the topics: accommodation, transportation, training venues, stadiums as well as other relevant issues. The World Cup concept is characterized by its extremely innovative, compact configuration of competition and training venues, team base camps, fan hotels and FIFA headquarters and accommodation. The designs of the stadiums are based on influential Qatari motives and herewith symbolize the diversity of the country. All FIFA requirements for World Cup stadiums have been fulfilled in an optimal manner. Furthermore, the stadiums are cooled using solar energy in order to guarantee optimal match conditions, even throughout the warmer summer months. All stadiums are easily accessible via public personal transportation and are connected to the highly-efficient road network. "Expect Amazing" - with this slogan the Emirate of Qatar was appointed to host the FIFA World Cup 2022 in December 2010. Hence, Qatar will be the first Middle Eastern country to host a FIFA World Cup.
